Android
Android is the same tech with a different phone. It gets Material 3 navigation and Android's Back, not iOS chrome with the corners changed. Electric blue stays ours. The wallpaper does not pick our colors.
Web counterpart
The web job sheet and the tech's day. Same as iOS, different host.
| On the web | On Android |
|---|---|
| Sidebar destinations | Navigation bar on phones. Navigation rail on tablets and unfolded foldables. |
| Browser Back | System Back with predictive back. Never a lone back arrow as the only way out. |
| Inspector | A bottom sheet on phones. A side pane when the window is wide. |
| ⌘K command | A search bar at the top of Jobs. |
| Toast | A snackbar. It does not take focus. |
What carries
- Job titles, addresses, money, and notes in Inter.
- Status words beside their color.
- Electric blue on the commit and the selection.
Plus everything on the shared list.
What the host owns
- System Back, predictive back, and gesture navigation.
- The device font on chrome.
- Edge-to-edge drawing behind the status and navigation bars.
- TalkBack, font scale up to 200 percent, and system pickers.
Rules
- Support predictive back. Back previews where it goes. Sheets, search, and the stack all respond to the gesture. Intercepting Back to show a menu is a defect.
- 48dp targets. Every app-owned target is at least 48dp, text actions included. Visual size may be smaller. The hit area is not.
- Draw edge to edge. Content runs behind the system bars. Controls and text stay inside the insets. Scrolling lists pad their last row clear of the gesture bar.
- No wallpaper color. We do not adopt Material You dynamic color. The accent is electric blue on every Android phone.
- A rail when it is wide. Window size classes decide. Compact gets the navigation bar. Medium and expanded get the rail and a list-detail layout.
- Survive 200 percent text. Rows grow. Money wraps before it truncates. The commit stays reachable.
We refuse
- iOS chrome on Android: chevron back buttons, iOS switches, iOS sheets.
- Material You wallpaper tint.
- A floating action button for something that is not the primary action of the screen.
