PlayStation

PlayStation gets the same ten-foot Thorbis as Xbox, with its own hands. Cross confirms and Circle backs in every region. The PS button and the control center belong to Sony. The ten-foot rules on the hub apply here first.

What carries

  • The job, its status words, and its money.
  • Electric blue as the focus ring.
  • Honest states, including stale after rest mode.

Plus everything on the shared list.

What the host owns

  • The PS button and the control center. Never intercept them.
  • The Create button. It belongs to capture and sharing.
  • Official PlayStation button art for Cross, Circle, Square, and Triangle.
  • Screen reader, text size, bold text, and high contrast.

Rules

The ten-foot rules apply first. These add the hands.

  • Cross confirms. Circle backs. In every region. Do not swap them for any market. The legend shows the real glyphs, never the letters X or O.
  • Options is the menu. Options opens actions for the focused item or the screen. It is never Back, and it never pauses work in an app screen.
  • The touch pad is a shortcut, not a path. A swipe on the touch pad may scroll. Nothing requires it. Every action also lives on a button.
  • Certification wins. Sony's technical requirements live behind the partner portal. They override this page where the two differ. Record the requirement, not its text.
  • No PlayStation costume. We do not copy the PS5 home screen, its cards, or its blue. Our blue is ours. Only the button glyphs are theirs to show.

We refuse

  • Swapping Cross and Circle for a region.
  • Xbox letters on a DualSense.
  • The touch pad as the only way to do something.
